Portugal, remote
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As a Senior Mobile Developer, you play a key role in evolving our mobile application landscape. You take ownership of the technical foundation of our mobile apps and shape their architecture to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Our current mobile applications are built using Flutter and support care professionals in their daily work within care facilities. In this role, you act as a technical driver for mobile development, defining architectural guardrails, improving synchronization mechanisms with backend and on-premise systems, and establishing robust mobile engineering practices.
You combine deep mobile expertise with pragmatic leadership to ensure our apps are performant, resilient, and built for long-term scalability — including the responsible use of AI-supported development tools.

Your Responsibilities
  • You design and evolve the mobile application architecture, primarily based on Flutter.
  • You take ownership of synchronization mechanisms between mobile apps and backend/on-premise systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • You identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks early such as latency issues or unstable data flows.
  • You define technical standards, best practices, and architectural guardrails for mobile development.
  • You implement complex features hands-on while ensuring clean, maintainable code.
  • You collaborate closely with backend engineers to design robust APIs and data exchange patterns.
  • You use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and critically validate their outputs.
  • You contribute to the long-term scalability and technical quality of our mobile platform.

Your profile

  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in mobile app development (Android, iOS, or cross-platform).
  • You have strong hands-on experience with Flutter or comparable cross-platform frameworks and are comfortable working in Flutter-based environments.
  • You have solid experience designing mobile architectures and structuring scalable app codebases.
  • You understand synchronization strategies, offline-first concepts, and reliable data exchange patterns.
  • You have experience identifying and resolving performance issues in mobile applications.
  • You work independently, take technical ownership, and act as a go-to expert for mobile topics.
  • You value clean code, testing, and sustainable engineering practices.
  • You communicate confidently in English (C1); German is a plus.
