Senior Accountant (m/f/d) Group Accounting

In this full-time position, you will play a key role in Group Accounting at the myneva Group. As Deputy Head of Group Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing the monthly consolidated financial statements in Lucanet and overseeing the accounting for our holding companies. You will also serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Independently preparing the monthly consolidated financial statements in Lucanet, including all consolidation procedures (capital consolidation and the elimination of intercompany balances, expenses, and income)
• Coordinating and reconciling intercompany balances and transactions with subsidiaries
• Taking responsibility for all accounting activities of the holding companies, from day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly closings to the preparation of annual financial statements
• Actively supporting the audits of the annual and consolidated financial statements by preparing audit documentation, coordinating auditor request lists, and acting as a point of contact for external auditors
• Deputising for the Head of Group Accounting and serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for management and all departments
• Contributing to special accounting matters and projects, such as the integration of newly acquired companies, in collaboration with internal departments, tax advisors, and external auditors
• Further developing and continuously automating consolidation and accounting processes

• A degree with a focus on accounting or finance, or a commercial vocational qualification with relevant further training (e.g. a German certified accountant qualification – Bilanzbuchhalter)
• Several years of professional experience in group accounting or consolidation, ideally within a corporate group or an audit firm
• Excellent knowledge of Lucanet, ideally with hands-on experience using it for consolidation
• Sound knowledge of accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
• Experience in preparing for and supporting financial statement audits
• Knowledge of NetSuite, SAP, or MS Dynamics, as well as German tax law, would be an advantage
• Excellent proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel
• A confident professional manner, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for acting as a sparring partner for colleagues across myneva
• An independent and organised approach to work, strong analytical skills, and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, combined with a high level of self-motivation and an enjoyment of working with numbers
• Very good German and good English language skills
